I've used them with Pi Zero, Pi 1B and Pi 3B. Contrary to what another reviewer has said, I believe that with the 2.4 amp rating they can supply plenty of current for the Raspberry Pi 3B as well as some other circuitry attached to it. My POE source is a Netgear POE switch, capable of delivering over 3 amps of power per Ethernet connection. Raspberry Pi devices are great low-cost IoT nodes, but battery-powered ones aren't practical. So I figured if I was going to run a power cable to them anyway, I would use POE to bring power and network over the same cable. This adapter has an RJ45 jack for the incoming power and Ethernet cable. It powers the Raspberry Pi via the micro USB connector and transmits Ethernet to the Pi via the RJ45 connector. Very easy to connect and use.
