Doesn't fit '98 540i

Probably fits later e38,e39,X5. First pull the ignition switch, and then check if it is inserted correctly. I didn't do it and had to send it back. I saw reviews, but it was quickly necessary, but of course it didn't fit. Not suitable for E39 1998. The left side is my original one, the right side is new, you can see the top and bottom have different buttons. My original also had a white top, it doesn't matter but they are also sold at Revain.
