I was knitting a shawl with the finest yarn and the plastic connector broke in two. OK. No problem. I just knit two short cords together, pick up any missing loops and pull one through. A few rows later. Snap! I'm not a rough or brutal knitter (is there such a thing?) nor am I a novice knitter. I have several decades of experience. I've never had such a problem. In addition, the needle constantly wants to detach from the needle tip. I have replaced these replacement needles with better quality wooden needles, not plastic ones, and have had no problems. The shawl is finished and I didn't have to stop to pick up the dropped loops because something broke that shouldn't have. So buyers beware. I could have just gotten a set from a bad lot but I don't think that's the case. Keep searching and stop and look at slightly more expensive replacement needle sets made out of wood and/or no plastic connectors. You will be much happier.
