I upgraded my HP Windows 7 desktop computer to 10 and then tried to add an old PCI wireless card but found it was outdated. I bought this USB adapter and installed it in one of the two USB slots in the back of the computer, which is under the table. No cables or antennas protrude, making it safe from feet and pets. I think it works great and I haven't had to make any adjustments to the settings since the original install. It works fine with my Xfinity gateway and HP printer and probably no problem with anything else. I was originally going to use it with my 2012 15" Unibody MacBook Pro but I later installed a replacement board/bracket/cable assembly in it along with other parts and it works great too. Happy customer arrived.
