So there are a number of reviews that express dissatisfaction with the fact that a riveting tool is required for assembly. Please look at the spot in the trunk where the hooks are attached and think about it. When I got the hooks and looked at my car, I ran to the hardware store with one of the hooks and assembled my own mounting hardware for about $5. I didn't want to mess around with the rivet tool. Plus, with a few bolts, washers, and a couple of nuts, you can take apart and reassemble parts when needed. I bought two 2" bolts, eight washers and two nuts to match the bolts. You can definitely use shorter screws. and fewer pucks if you want, but I chose what worked for my brain. The most difficult thing is to insert the bolts into the rail. So I installed a bolt with two washers in the rail to let the threads hang down. Then I moved the hook on the bolt, put two washers on the bolt and then put the nut on the bolt. Tighten everything as tight as possible and you're done. Don't be put off by what you see in your bag and think of a simple and effective solution.
