Template Milling - 'Great Bit'

Ordered this bit to trim the curved edges of 8.1-1/2" diameter Sapele furniture legs. Sapele is a fairly hard, variable grain wood that had my unusually wide curves. Works perfectly with no unusual noise or vibration. Very smooth cut with no flutter or breakage, even with my variable grit. Even cut through open slits with all edges remaining sharp. Read some reviews that say the bit could be "stubborn". ". I don't find this part exciting, but the setup certainly could be. When milling freehand into a bearing, I experienced some amazing rebound on entry, which could be dangerous. Added some sort of very hard pivot and there you go It's going very well since then. Even used a short lift at the beginning which worked but felt questionable. It wasn't the bit but how I used it. Summary: Great bit well worth the price.
