Review on ✏️ Derwent Procolour Pencils, 72 Count Metal Tin, for Drawing and Art (2302508) by Kristen Simpson

I have tried and used various brands of colored pencils including Prismacolor, Faber Castells and Caran d'Ache. I find Procolor better than anything I've tried. At least for me. I hired 72 and they came from Revain Global. Arrival took less than a week. And the pencils were great. The color palette is great. Nice range of colors and it gives you what you need. The pencils are easy to sharpen and the leads feel solid. The Procolour feels solid enough for detail and control, but it glides and lays beautifully. Not sparkling at all. They are soft to the touch but not sugary. They are not as soft as Colorsoft. More like a polychromos with the control and firmness of a Derwent artist. The perfect combination of hard and soft. They remind me of my favorite drawing pencils, Palomino Black Wing #602. Pencils slip when applying paint. And the colors are bright. Mixing is a dream come true with a mixture or solvent. When I draw with a pencil I find that the pencil is softer than the bristles. With a softer brush you can achieve the same effect as with Polychromos. Depending on the paper, you can put several layers on top of each other. I used Stonehenge. I would also recommend making a color chart or playing around with different colors as some colors will result in a color that doesn't quite match the guide. Something I find standard on all Derwent lines. I really like pencils and paints. I love the colors in this line. Derwent really did an amazing job of creating a hard and soft combination in this pencil and it was a pleasure to use.
