Review on CharJenPro MacBook 2018 2016 Ethernet Thunderbolt by Jean Donjuan

Great Networking Products

As any owner of the latest MacBook Pro hardware knows, Apple has chosen USB-C as the only port with internal support—no standard USB, SD cards, micro SD cards, or HDMI -Connections. As an avid photographer, the ability to import photos from SD cards was a must, so I went on a quest to add that functionality and settled on the CharJen hubs. The original I bought did the job, but lacked HDMI and Ethernet (for those days when you just need to be connected). To my delight, this dual USB C hub offers premium MacBar E Ethernet capabilities while maintaining one of the most aesthetically pleasing hubs on the market. For this review I tried every port except Micro SD and am happy to report that ALL worked as advertised. It's really amazing to get so many features in such a small space. I really appreciate how the Ethernet port folds down to maintain a slim profile when not in use. Speeds were good for data/video. Fit and workmanship are still top. Space Gray is still a little different from Apple's color, but you really have to look closely to notice it. The only downside I have is that previous CharJen hubs had an LED light on the top of the adapter that let the user know the connection was made to the MacBook Pro, which was important if it accidentally stumbled and disconnected. On this adapter, it's on the side and isn't as brightly lit as on previous models. I give this device a solid 4.5 stars (since Revain doesn't support 1/2 stars which I've rounded up). Buy American and CharJen, keep up the good work!
