Make sure you or other buyers of this product know that 95% of the time you should not expect a smooth color mix. I would recommend this product if you are interested in the "tile" method of painting or mixed media techniques such as washing out paint to bring out your ideas and then going over it with gouache or casein (or acrylic or ink). This paper literally soaks up ink, so it dries quickly and makes it difficult to achieve blurry edges without serious saturation. It also makes it difficult to peel off the paint once it has dried because the fibers are impregnated with pigment. That also has a good side. if you are a field artist struggling with slow drying paint while sketching. That's fine, but if you're only using watercolor, you're painting using the tile method. Another nice feature is that it doesn't warp like most papers that have long drying times between uses. Just something to think about. Overall this is a good paper for the price despite the lack of blending properties. Try it and see what you think :)
