When you use this lighter for the first time or after you fill it with butane, it is very difficult to ignite. Warning; I wait for the allotted time after it's filled with butane. To maintain an even flame, the trigger must be pulled several times. It takes 20 to 30 times to get an even flame. If the lighter has not been used for a long time, you need to repeat the above process over and over again. I bought this lighter as a survival tool. If I have to get this to work now, it just won't happen. When it works, it has a powerful 1.5-inch nozzle that ignites things pretty quickly. Three stars for me.
