I looked at a maker of crochet hooks that I know and trust for a set of steel crochet hooks with comfortable handles because the wide range of steel hooks I have now were causing my arthritic hands to give me grief. I couldn't bring myself to pay the price - three times what this set costs. I am very happy with these and am glad I read the reviews and the comment that the metal extends the full length of the handle. Some other cheap sets I tried had the handles break off! These are great. I crocheted the outfits for the tiny dolls pictured with the 1.6mm hook, very smooth and accurately, and had NO pain in my hands afterward. Yay! These are well worth the price. I am pleasantly surprised.
