Review on Continental ContiCrossContact LX2 215/65 R16 98H summer by Adam Fido ᠌

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

I acquired these tires to replace the similar tires of a prior generation that had failed shortly after being placed at the factory. They had planned to drive during the summer season and possibly ride during the following one, but unhappily, in the dark, they flew into a tiny but deep trench that the unfortunate builders left in the center of the road when they were fixing it. As a result, they almost lost their resource. They planned to drive during the summer season and possibly ride during the following one. As a consequence of this, there was a rupture in the side chord, and as a consequence of this, the entire sidewall was bumpy, and the tire lost its firmness. There have previously been reports that the sidewalls of the tires from the generation before this one are exceedingly fragile. I can affirm that it is shockingly weak, especially for rubber that was supposed to be used in crossovers. According to the features that have been announced, the new tire is more durable than the previous generation. Specifically, the layer of rayon that was in the tread region has been replaced with a layer of polyester, and the layer of rayon that was on the sidewall has been replaced with two layers of polyester. There have been no remarks made about the performance as of yet - the sidewall is difficult, you can feel it. I did not investigate further, therefore I do not know if the formulation of the rubber was altered in any other way. Highly recommended, has a nice cover.

Pros
  • It is very good at riding both on asphalt and on the ground, particularly muddy ones. It is quiet, it completely eliminates water from under the contact patch, it has robust and strong sidewalls, and it has a good tread pattern.
Cons
  • The cost is prohibitive.
