Review on Pirelli Ice Zero 195/60 R15 88T winter by Wiktor ygado ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I didnt see good quality, solid disadvantages.

Three seasons, total mileage 60-70 thousand. About half of the run is on the track. I live in the Leningrad region, i. E. no hard braking and no acceleration, but a set of tires died nonetheless. The tread depth allows them to be used for at least one more season, but . I was ready to put up with the main drawback of these tires - their noise, because. in general, they gave confidence when driving, after the first season I was very pleased with them, but such reliability is alarming. After all, this is a premium segment, at the time of purchase they were a little cheaper than Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7, so you expect more reliability and resource from them. Even if we attribute the etching of air through the spikes of the first two tires to punctures, and unfortunately they were under repair several times before the decommissioning, then the tires with the cord that came out are intact. Therefore, I will not experiment with Pirelli anymore.

Pros
  • 1. Excellent rowing, especially in the first season while the studs and tread are fresh. 2. I think that in general the tires are balanced in terms of handling and braking.
Cons
  • 1. Noise, for me it does not decrease with mileage, Each set of speed is like taking off an airplane. The only thing that can be advised is to just accept or change tires to others. 2. As I already wrote, the tires row really well, including screws with nails. In the first season it somehow passed, but since the second season I have been to tire shops several times over the winter. 3. Stability is an inconvenience, but if you have a calm driving style, then you can get used to this disadvantage. 4. Reliability, the real problem with these tires. The 1st tire died during the 3rd season, began to poison through the spike, turned out to be unrepairable and was replaced. The 2nd, in the course of the same third season, began to poison through the spike, the tourniquet helped, but a hernia appeared on the sidewall, I drove the season, but the question arose of replacing it. The 3rd and 4th tires have a cord that has come out, that is, they can no longer be used. :-( 5. I could not register the extended warranty. Spit after a few tries.
