Since this primer is very low viscosity anyway I didn't even have to dilute it with water, I just mixed it well and strained. It took a bit to get everything right, but I started on the wall where it was easy to space out every move with the reel as long as I was playing with the right settings. I found 28psi worked well in the gun and I set both the fluid and fan settings fairly low. The only reason I took off a star is because the "cup lock" kept "jamming" when I stopped to fill. It felt like there was too much space between the pieces, so I joined everything with a spacer I made from a copper pipe joint that keeps the "cup lock" from rising too high during filling. I've used a lot of spray guns, so I don't find it difficult to take them apart and clean them. In my experience, water-based paints will eat guns like crazy, especially if they're stored for a while after use. I've tried all sorts of lubes and anti-corrosion solutions to prevent corrosion, but nothing seems to extend life very much, so the only viable option is a gun at a lower price. I'll try to update this in a few weeks when I apply a semi-matte finish.
