I use 2 or 3 sticks a year. I carry 3 different rulers with me for work, one of them a small version of 1 meter, a tape measure of 25 feet. I replaced some of these because the joints don't fall as the joints shear off when the ruler hits the edge. I've never had to replace a rule like this with an expand or drag or other "normal" processing. It has both regression and flexibility
