I have used fine walnut shells with this product to try to remove paint from a metal surface but even with a compressor at recommended pressure or even higher when using too an oil/water air hose filter, the gun was most likely clogged. When trying with a rough walnut shell, it didn't go through at all. Once the thin case came out of the gun, removing well-adhered paint was completely ineffective. The only effect was to remove the already peeling paint, which I was able to do with my bare hands. Very disappointing. I'm trying to get the gun back.
