Eggs always explode no matter what you do
I wasn't very impressed with any of them. I've even dragged a toothpick across the yolk and tried doubling the time and halving the power, but every time the yolk explodes on the poacher. Also, the egg sandwich maker will explode even if you mix the yolks. None of them clean up as easily as I had hoped. The sandwich maker is worse as it leaves the egg behind after you remove the boiled egg. I expected better than they really are.
