Review on Actuator Replacement Toyota Corolla Highlander by Doug Mancilla
The door didn't open at all
installed in my Highlander (correct). Closed the door. The door does not open from the inside OR from the outside - the trap does not open. In panic. Luckily I was able to lower the window and pry the door panel off the top of the door, access the latch and open it manually. Replaced by Toyota OEM version - works great. I may have come across a broken device, but I advise you to check its operation before closing the door. Or just buy OEM.
