Overall it's a good lock but I'm only giving it one star because the advertised battery life is completely wrong. Information here and on the manufacturer's website states that a set of batteries will lock the lock 8,000 times a year or 20 times a day. I've had my lock for 9 months now and just installed my third set of batteries. On average I didn't use the batteries more than 5 times a week to power on the lock. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, we rarely leave the house, so there is no need to electronically lock the door. It is usually locked manually from the inside at night. If the lock itself is supposed to indicate a low battery, then it's not obvious. The first time I noticed the batteries were low was when I checked the phone app. It will tell you. But unless you use a phone app to control the lock, you won't know. They don't recommend rechargeable batteries which I tried once but they don't work. They have voltage but no current to operate the lock. They do not recommend lithium batteries due to the rapid loss of performance, but sell them under their own brand name on their website. This is probably what should be used if they really do last longer. Extended warranties are available here, although I'm not sure if they were available when I bought my lock. Check the manufacturer's website for additional important information before purchasing.
