It's too early to decide but it works

I've been using it for 2 weeks. Wife likes it, keys are no longer needed. It's nice to have a backup option to open the lock with the key in case the battery dies or the device fails. I'm concerned about the plastic mechanism that turns the lock. Doesn't look strong enough. During assembly, I also thought about how thin the connecting cable between the keyboard and the case is. My considerations when buying a lock were: - the ability to remotely install and manage users outside the wife'sโ€ฆ

Absolute bullshit: Bolt

I installed my lock 4 days ago. Stopped working 4 times in 4 days. I contacted support for troubleshooting which was an absolute nightmare. First they say they work 9am to 5pm pacific time, that is a lie. During this time, they never answer the phone and only start answering tickets at 5:00 p.m. CST. All of the troubleshooting steps they offer you require you to take screenshots or videos to prove that you actually did it. After several attempts they finally agree the lock is bad and offer toโ€ฆ

Works as advertised and easy to install/adjust

Replaced the standard mechanical latch on my front door. a lot and apparently it sometimes affects my fingerprints). The lock was very easy to install, took about 10 minutes. Installing the app, initial syncing, and setup was easy and straightforward. I haven't had any of the problems that some have described. The gate was the same. After linking the lock in the app, I connected and synced the gateway to the lock/app and that was it.*** For a minute I was a bit confused with the gateway. Itโ€ฆ

Some things just aren't true.

Overall it's a good lock but I'm only giving it one star because the advertised battery life is completely wrong. Information here and on the manufacturer's website states that a set of batteries will lock the lock 8,000 times a year or 20 times a day. I've had my lock for 9 months now and just installed my third set of batteries. On average I didn't use the batteries more than 5 times a week to power on the lock. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, we rarely leave the house, so there is noโ€ฆ

Mostly happy in Deadbolts

I like the lock but if I could do it again I would try another one with a fingerprint scanner that has all the other features this one has and maybe , and more for about the same price, i know this company has one with a fingerprint scanner, it was way more than i was willing to pay. A few things I don't like about this lock, the auto unlock doesn't always work, now it works better than it did at first, after a lot of research make sure you're using 2.4hz wifi and you need to make sure Yourโ€ฆ

Wimpy WiFi Bridge - Better w Network Extender

The lock seems super powerful. works great in bluetooth mode; ie you must be very close to the lock. Setting up WiFi across a bridge is useless; Difficult to connect and often disconnects. That said, it's at its most unreliable when you intend to be in control outside of the home. And yes, I used 2G mode. Thinking the bridge was defective, I requested a replacement. The guys were kind enough to send me a new bridge but it worked for a few minutes, disconnected, reconnected and so on. By theโ€ฆ
