Wimpy WiFi Bridge - Better w Network Extender

The lock seems super powerful. works great in bluetooth mode; ie you must be very close to the lock. Setting up WiFi across a bridge is useless; Difficult to connect and often disconnects. That said, it's at its most unreliable when you intend to be in control outside of the home. And yes, I used 2G mode. Thinking the bridge was defective, I requested a replacement. The guys were kind enough to send me a new bridge but it worked for a few minutes, disconnected, reconnected and so on. By the way, pairing (connecting) a lock and a bridge is a slow process; Sometimes you need to completely reset the lock, forcing you to re-enter passwords and other settings. real pain The bridge barely finds WiFi and disconnects very easily. Since it was installed in my summer house, my return period has expired. So I'm stuck. I could use it in the shed for my lawn equipment. January 2020. U-Tec Group has a great support team, they are always with me. They replaced the original bridge for free. Other than that, the new bridge was no different from the original in that it didn't stay connected all the time when I was out of Bluetooth and WiFi range. My router has detected the bridge and is showing a strong signal, the bridge and router are about 20 feet apart with a wall between them. I also increased the bridge connection priority in the router settings. Without change. Then I decided to buy a network extension cable and place it very close (6 feet) to the bridge. Since then the connection has been maintained. Now I can safely open/close the lock and check the status. In short, the lock, bridge, and router must be in close proximity to each other. If there is some distance or a wall between the router and the bridge, I highly recommend getting a network extension cable (about $60) and placing it near the bridge. I still wish the bridge had stronger range and connection.
