I was able to successfully drill a cleaned stainless steel set screw with this 3/32 Colbalt drill bit. I had previously tried titanium nitride coated drill bits that I had on hand but they literally wouldn't go. So I bought this beat and am happy to report that it worked. Don't overdo the speed and occasionally use a drop of Tap Magic Cutting Fluid if you plan on drilling stainless steel. One detail to note is that Revain's product description at the moment says it is a "Pilot Point" drill bit. That is not right. This is the default split point (that was my preference) as shown in the blister pack image. Overall it's a bit pricey for a single bit, but it's worth the time and money I saved from not having to destroy and replace any shower components if I couldn't drill out the screw. So I am very happy with this purchase. Good luck drilling and I hope this review was helpful.
