fine for gentle dogs?
They are nice toys, and are probably just fine for gentle or very old dogs. Purchased for a six year old, 60 lb. lab and a 10 year old, 35 lb. border collie (one each) to substitute for stuffed chew toys. Our dogs are not monsters; neither is teething, and we don't play tug of war with our dogs. Our expectation was that these would far outlast plush toys that lasted for a few weeks before they were pulling the stuffing out, and tennis balls that lasted for a few days. The lab had his apart within three minutes of receipt, and the border collie within five minutes. Alas.

- The TUFFY toy may not hold up to serious fetch and retrieve play
