Gives the finishing touch to your front door

It was well packed and arrived on time. A few tips I could throw away; If you have a metal door, you should use a hole punch in the metal before attempting to drill a 1/16th hole for the screws. I didn't have a sharp punch, so I used a small sharp-tipped nail. That helped. You have to be careful when drilling metal with a 1/16" drill bit, which was the recommended size. At first I thought it was too small a hole for the screw, but once you get the first few threads it goes in very easily. I don't want to use a bigger drill. After marking the holes and drilling the pilot holes, screw the screws in only 3/4. This allows you to "go up or down" a bit to really center it on the bottom of the door. Once all of the screws are in, you can push the end of the baseplate up or down and adjust slightly if needed. Also, do not overtighten the screws. Just stick it on and only remove the plastic protective film when you are done. After the screws are screwed in and everything fits, remove the protective film and the overlay "comes to life". Nice addition to the front door. I also got a door knocker and chain lock for the door and now it all goes perfectly with the Schlage Satin Nickel front door handle.
