Review on Gigabit Wireless AP RB951G-2HND πŸ’» Mikrotik with 1000mW Power and 5 Ports by Siu Jang ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best thing for the money, glad I did it.

I recommend it to advanced users - I decided for myself: now only Mikrotik! A very interesting piece of hardware with a huge range of features and an incredible price / quality ratio. With its pros. I bought Asus RT-N16 to replace the Asus RT-N16, which got fed up with its brakes. My provider is Beeline, 70 Mbit L2tp channel. The old router at the time of downloading torrents gave out a maximum of 5-6 Mb / s, while it was impossible to use the Internet - it got up with a stake. I had to spend a couple of hours on the Mikrotik settings (and I have a technical background), but I managed to set everything up. Visually, even pages on the Internet began to load faster. The speed of torrents has increased to 8.4 Mb / s (the peak I noticed), while you can comfortably browse. The abundance of settings is simply fantastic. I am very pleased with the compact size, "mild" design (not a fountain, but it does not try to "bulge out" with varnished surfaces and incredible shapes), the absence of protruding antennas. Cons below: Problems with working with iPhone on old firmware 5.26. WiFi worked very badly with the iPhone 5. I even thought about putting it on a shelf, or using the old router as a WiFi access point, but it turned out that the router does not see ates through the internal firmware (using the "check for ates" button, I said that I have the latest version 5.26 ). I got to the site - it turned out there was already a stable 62022, after installing which the problem with the phone was solved and the router is now only happy!
