It does the job but be careful
Wear heat resistant gloves and safety glasses and work shoes. No loose clothing. It emits a lot of heat and can damage nearby things, such as withering the leaves of bushes or setting dry things on fire. I had no problem lighting it up, and it was fun weeding my gravel driveway rather than torturing myself. But I'm well aware how easy it would be to burn a foot or otherwise screw up if I was careful for even a moment.
