This is exactly what I was looking for and does the job I bought it for. I am waiting for snow to see if it will help clear some of the hard to reach spots around my property.

A few ridiculously cheap components meant we had to remake them before we could use them. We knew it was cheap compared to other models. Wear heat resistant gloves and safety glasses and work shoes. No loose clothing. It emits a lot of heat and can damage nearby things, such as withering the leaves of bushes or setting dry things on fire. I had no problem lighting it up, and it was fun weeding my gravel driveway rather than torturing myself. But I'm well aware how easy it would be to burn a foot or otherwise screw up if I was careful for even a moment.

To be honest it worked great until it broke. The hose, although very playable, is therefore very easy to move. You need to be extra careful with it as it can be damaged very easily. I have a hole the whole length, I don't know how, but it's there. and I can't even find replacement hoses for it. <--- this is the biggest problem for me. I'm willing to accept the fact that I damaged it, but not being able to find replacement parts means I have to do it all AGAIN. I just want to change the hose!

I am replacing an older torch. This is approx. 10 cm shorter. This is a big problem as you have to lean forward A LOT (90 degrees!) to use it. Leaning like that for an hour isn't something I look forward to. If you are small (less than 5 feet) this may be fine. So basically you need a kid to use this, but wait! I purchased this product as a fire treatment (Shou Sugi Ban) for wood for preservation and aesthetics. This torch does an excellent job of burning large areas of wood in a short amount of time, which is my intention of using it.
