It seems to work, but the batteries don't last long.
The stop sign should flash briefly when it hits the vertical bar on which it is written. It flashes for a few seconds, but this ability disappears after a few days. The batteries were either old or weak or both. I'm not 100% sure that repeated tapping on the metal bar of a painted plastic bumper will not have a lasting effect on the bumper. I ended up wrapping a strip of foam around the badge stem where the bumper meets. It looks bad, but it works - probably better. It would be nice if the batteries were easier to find and swap out, and even better if they lasted longer, but the stop sign still wobbles enough to tell you when to stop.
