Works great, easy to use, compact size, color screen, highly recommend

I have about half a dozen OBD 2 scanners and this is the newest one I've bought. This comes with a DLC cable, a micro USB cable, a micro SD card reader and an 8GB micro SD card. The device requires you to create an account on the Ancel website so that you can download car/truck updates that you can scan. I selected the car brands available in the US and downloaded the updates onto a micro SD card. This took about 30 minutes. I first tried this device on my 2005 Nissan Frontier and it works flawlessly. What I really like is the resetting of the steering angle sensor. On some newer Xterra/Frontiers models, the SAS needs to be reset when the battery is replaced. The device feels solid and has a molded rubber grip that wraps around the entire device. I suspect they designed it so a mechanic could use it in a shop and drop the unit. The device has handles on both sides on which your fingers rest for a good grip of the device. It also reads SRS and ABS codes as well as transmission codes. It can also perform real-time data streaming. The device can also read the VIN number in the ECU. Good to take with you if you want to buy a used car. You can see if the VIN matches between the ECU and the body/frame. It seems to be a very good piece of equipment for a weekend mechanic or as a backup in a professional workshop.

Pros
  • SAVE WIDE VEHICLE COVERAGE
Cons
  • poorly thought out
