Review on πŸ”§ Supco TB123B Spanner Wrench: Ultimate Tool for Plumbing and HVAC Systems by Kevin Folsom

Revainrating 5 out of 5

You won't need it often, but it works well when you do

This 1-11/16 wrench fits the tank nut on my top loading GE washer. I had to do a major overhaul that involved removing the tank nut and then reinstalling it. I did not use a wrench to remove the tank nut as it was "frozen" after 9 years of corrosion and limescale. If yours is rusty, you probably won't be able to remove it with a wrench; Use a good quality 1/2" 1-11/16 cordless impact wrench (available here at Revain). I used a wrench to tighten the tank nut as cordless impact wrenches should not be used for tightening. To tighten the tank nut on my GE washer, I used a wrench and tapped it counter-clockwise with a 3-pound hammer (the nut is reverse-threaded). For some reason the reviews are better. My wrench arrived in good condition with no visible rust and worked great for me. I recommend the Supco wrench without hesitation.
