Works well with mods for 73# RadWagon Cargo Bike

I just bought a RadWagon cargo bike that I really like, but I've been looking for a long time for a rack that can handle the long wheelbase, 73 pounds and no more than $500 and for 1 would match 1/1. 4 inch receiver. First, let me say that I like this attitude so far. I've only used it once for a total of 10 miles but there was minimal wobble and the bike was very reliable. The downside is that it's a big challenge for bike life on the trunk, but that's not the trunk's fault. I have a Mazda 5 with a hidden towbar hidden under the bumper. When I tried to install the hitch, it hit the bumper and was less than an inch below the lined up bolt holes. So I made a groove in the corner brackets so it could fit. Then I discovered that there was a ridge on the inside of the receiver that prevented the rail from sliding far enough. So I cut about 3/4 inch off the strut shaft. Still stable and solid. I probably won't take a second bike, so I use the RadWagon to place it on the mount closest to the car. I want to post a photo but I don't see the option. Overall very satisfied

Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
