Stable, simple and safe

A year later and time for a review. but that's because it's also so durable. Getting it from storage and installing it in the car is a breeze when you can normally carry 50 pounds with ease. The tilt function works great, on our car (Kona) the tailgate sticks out 2 inches from the wheels. The central locks are suitable for local transport, the tire straps and the extra strap are only used on the motorway, which makes loading and unloading a very quick process. a safe place, if someone really…

Works well with mods for 73# RadWagon Cargo Bike

I just bought a RadWagon cargo bike that I really like, but I've been looking for a long time for a rack that can handle the long wheelbase, 73 pounds and no more than $500 and for 1 would match 1/1. 4 inch receiver. First, let me say that I like this attitude so far. I've only used it once for a total of 10 miles but there was minimal wobble and the bike was very reliable. The downside is that it's a big challenge for bike life on the trunk, but that's not the trunk's fault. I have a Mazda 5…

Heavy Duty: Bike Rack

Own 2 e-bikes, both over 50 pounds. This holds them perfectly and it's hard to find a mount for heavier bikes in this price range. He's super persistent. I love the fact that it slopes down and that makes it really easy to load. But an important tip! After loading your bikes, do not press the incline release lever unless someone is holding you. These bikes will rock down with a lot of power and weight. You have hurt something if not yourself. This is a two person job. With just a bike, you can…

2000+ miles tested, 1 year owned: good overall but some flaws

Pros: + Decent build quality + Includes locking pin and bike locks + Tilts away from trunk for access + Can sail folded and folded neatly Cons: - Heavy to stand - Awkward to put on and take off Other Notes: Be careful when tightening the clutch pin, the anti-vibration threads can be easily torn off if you use a ratchet larger than the tool provided (see .Image of anti-roll system). The anti-sway system acts more like a "damper" for vertical sway, but lateral sway is largely eliminated. When…

Nice shelf for the price.

First of all, the customer service was fantastic. I had a problem with the lock and here's why. KAC is not to blame. The hitch pin that came with the rack had a 1-1/8 inch thread that was too short to engage the threaded anti-rattle wedges into the bike rack's tongue. My trailer hitch is broken. Outside width 2-1/8 inches. I emailed KAC and they sent me a new 2" thread range clutch pin, now it was too long. So I put three washers on the pin and now it fits perfectly and is snug. If the pin is…

Looks like a good frame but with some flaws

I received the frame 4 days late but everything is fine. The UPS may be delayed. Box opened, all parts are in stock. I started assembling following a well-written guide and found the first problem. There is a keyed lock that secures the bike rack to the rear hitch. This is a nice feature of the carrier and one of the reasons it costs over $200. The lock that came with the bike did not fit the supplied bolt and would not turn (the bolt was 1/16 inch too long). At that point I might have had to…
