CEL is currently disabled for parts
The 2013 Outback had a CEL code P0453. Took the car to the dealer but found nothing. The lights went out, but CEL came back after refueling the car. So I searched for Revain and found this. Replaced the existing gasket with an RKX gasket, after which it went through about five cycles of turning the ignition on and off. Eventually, CEL disappeared. The RKX seal feels a bit softer than the OEM. The RKX gasket allows you to overtighten the gas cap, so use caution. Only time will tell how long this new seal will last.
