Review on Enhanced Aquarium Test Kit – Tetra EasyStrips for Complete Aquarium Testing by Jessica Williams

Good accuracy for tapes; handy when you're in a hurry

Any serious fish lover will tell you that test strips are worse than real test kits. However, in parallel tests, these strips gave results very close to my test set,** with the exception of pH. ** These bars consistently show about half a point less than my API Master test kit. The good news is that the nitrite and nitrate readings were always accurate across multiple parallel tests. While some hobbyists will disagree with me, I do think test strips have a place as an additional form of testing. Sometimes we are all pressed for time. It takes 45 seconds to fully read the strip; Performing a full set of tests with a liquid test kit takes about 20 minutes from sampling to cleaning. With strips, I delay testing less when I'm in a hurry. If the strip results are at all unexpected, I know I need to *find the time* to retest with the batter kit. Note: It is important that your strips are completely dry and properly sealed. once. Only handle them with clean, dry hands and never touch the test pads. If the test pads get wet or get sebum on them, they may not work properly. For the health of your fish, always discard strips that may get wet or dirty. In addition, you should conduct comparative testing between each new pack of test strips and a quality liquid test kit; Sometimes you can get a bad batch of strips.
