Review on πŸ” Eurotool EuroPunch Round Pliers 25mm+: Optimize Your Searchability! by Jordan Jackson

effective for use with raw copper blanks

Recently started metal stamping. At first I limited myself to blanks in which holes had already been punched. But it's outdated - there are so many shapes that don't have holes yet. In addition, the location of the holes was fairly standard - one on top or two on the sides. What if I want to make a three hole Y connector? So I started looking for ways to bypass this limitation and came across this one. You create a fairly small hole. The hole is big enough for various jump rings, but not so big that it's noticeable. Not too difficult for me to hold or use (I have small hands and small, weak wrists). So far I've mostly punched holes in 24 gauge copper blanks and they work pretty well for that. Sometimes I find it necessary to submit a file afterwards; I'm not sure if it's my technique or the way I hit. But in any case, when processing metal, a lot of sawdust is needed, so this is not a problem. I haven't had much trouble marking the surface of my blanks, but I did a little experiment with perforating something like paper or cardboard together and this seems to help (and not make the perforation too difficult) the surface too protection. I would recommend wearing safety goggles when working with them. Also, I had a spare drill bit in my kit, so be on the lookout. They were made of a hard, clear plastic that was meant to be attached to a cardboard backing, but the plastic was separating from the backing, leaving a spare punch in the box. So just keep an eye on it. I'm not sure how many hits they will last before needing replacement. But so far I'm happy with the performance. I now have several Eurotool consumables and am very happy with all of them. They're affordable and do the job I bought them for so I can't complain.
