The right product for me, the price suited me.
After 24.02, the selection of universal tires for the Ixtrail T32 drastically shrank, and prices skyrocketed. While standard rubber will continue to be used for most applications, I have decided to take this rubber in the quantity of 225/65 17 for 10 per cylinder. I put a good ten thousand kilometers on it, and I can't say anything particularly good or negative about it. An effective all-around midrange instrument.
- That's it; it's standard issue for getting off the pavement quickly and safely. Simply a bypass for the city or the freeway. The softness and handling of these tires are just what I require. Three of the four tires are balanced to perfection. Treads that are both deep and durable.
- Consumption is 0.5l / 100km more than with the preceding Yokohama Geolandar rubber (the industry standard for the x-trail t32), due to the constant obstruction of stones. The tread design is too much like a braided pattern for my taste. It's possible to aquaplane when the tread is worn down to 50% because there are no grooves in the shoulder area, thus water can't drain from under the center of the contact patch to the sides. To top it all off, I had to put on one of the four tires "with an explosion" because it was precariously poised on the rim.
