As another reviewer mentioned, these pliers are not quite like the photo. The first picture of this article shows a pair of pliers with straight jaws. However, these pliers have a CURVED jaw as shown in all the other pictures. The curved jaw is great for gripping round objects, while the straight jaw is great for gripping flat surfaces or small fasteners. I bought these pliers as a last resort after using a 12 point bit to completely round off the head of the oil pan drain plug. Interconnects. The bite on her is incredible. With very little effort, they bit off the bolt's flange (because the head was too small) and pulled it out. Wow! However, the curved jaws of these pliers are not good for squeezing small fasteners. It certainly couldn't pinch the 10mm oil pan drain plug head. I would guess it won't grab anything much smaller than 15mm. Remember. I wanted a larger size for the lever but I was lucky my bolt had a much larger flange to grip. On the other hand, the stated maximum jaw capacity is 1 7/8 inches. The rest of the design is great. The grips are good and the fact that it opens easily with one hand without sacrificing bite is just great. can't go wrong as it has a lifetime guarantee.
