A simple and inexpensive lock for a slider.

A simple and inexpensive additional security for a sliding patio door on the outside (because the wooden stop didn't work). It's nice that you can install it in as many positions as you like. I chose the head next to the fixed platen for strength and convenience (I didn't want us having to bend down to operate it). I like that it rotates (about 1-1/2 or 2 full turns) to lock/unlock and stays where it's set. The instructions are clear; Just be sure to tighten it enough so that the thin part of the pin fits almost completely into the adjacent rail.
