Best for solid, unsupported objects.

"You get what you pay for" . I don't always agree with that, but in this particular case I do. RICH-OPTO is difficult to work with, takes longer to cure, is too thick (ie not viscous enough). I mainly print miniatures and desktop items. This resin was incredibly difficult to work with for the miniatures. About 1/2 of my purchased pre-supported STL files will fail even after calibrating for resin. Then, to add to the suffering of failed printing, the cleaning of this material is awful. Degrades slowly, takes too long to drain from tank, sticks to tank walls etc. Takes longer to clean than other resins. The miniatures that came out intact were very fragile. Weapons or other small sharp objects are guaranteed to break in a fall. This behavior also does not exist with other miniature resins (Siryatech or Zmud). With all that, it is a functional resin. This works well enough for large solid terrain elements directly on the buildplate. Increase the number of bottom layers and exposure time and most of the solid terrain will look fine. Combined with the price I see purpose if you need to save a few bucks hence the 3 star rating.

Pros
  • Not fragile and excellent elasticity
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
