I bought this and installed it on an Elegoo Mega 2560 duino. Worked well when powered by USB or a 9V DC wall outlet during development. When I put it in a production case powered by a stable 12V DC industrial power supply at exactly 12.0 volts, it couldn't communicate. The Duino worked and every other bit of code worked fine, the ethernet shield just couldn't communicate. Luckily there is an adjustment potentiometer in the power supply and it only works with the Duino. I dialed it up to 10.5 volts and everything worked fine. I haven't bothered to check the break voltage but be aware that if you are using 12 volts you will likely have problems.
