Review on 🧶 Rechargeable Lighted Crochet Hooks Set - 11 Sizes, Case Included, 2.5mm to 8mm Range by Nicole Mcleod

In over 25 years of crocheting I have used various brands of crochet hooks and these probably rank last among all hooks that aren't just OG with straight handles like Boye's aluminum hooks or Bates. I like the shape of the handle so it's not a problem. The biggest problem I had with these hooks is that all the sizes in my set didn't match the handle - I attached each one and made sure the head was in the off position. before I decided to post. In the photos I added, the head is turned slightly to one side at the neck. This means that when I try to pull the crochet hook through the stitch, I have to twist my hands and finger movements even more to keep my head from catching on the loops of the crochet hook. All other ergonomic hooks have a head that aligns with the flat line of the handle. This may come in handy for you if you tend to keep the side of the next/work stitch higher than the crochet hand - my hands are held flat (or the crochet hand sometimes goes higher) and this causes me to pick up stitches that I do don't intend to do unless I add more rotation to my movement. I didn't look closely at other reviews but didn't notice anyone mentioning this issue. This is very annoying in combination with the second problem. Problem #2 - I have used other acrylic hooks and they are the tightest I have ever used. This would be great when working with a really slick fiber like mercerized cotton or bamboo, especially if it's a fingering or sports weight to keep the yarn from accidentally slipping off the hook. I've used it on DK 100% superwash merino wool and it doesn't slip very easily. In terms of weight, it's fantastically light for a battery pack, weighing about the same as a bamboo bat with a handle. my work later in the night and I don't like being hit by bright light so this is great for low light work. I often only have a dim side light on and use it when watching TV and the two different brightness levels are great. All in all, if you are new to crocheting, if you prefer to work with dark yarn or in low light, or if you have trouble working with smooth yarn, this set is perfect for you. Just be aware that heads can be awkwardly turned.
