Review on Efficient DeWalt D55155 Compressor Regulator Repair Kit for Replacement & Repair by Brandon Teitel

This didn't work right out of the box for my Dewalt D55168 Type 7 but with a slight modification to the main piston it seems to work fine. All components work well except for the (large) black main piston. It was enlarged by several thousand and was effectively stuck in the regulator cap opening. My solution was to remove the nitrile "piston ring" from the piston and then put it in my drill press (to act like a lathe) and then using 120g sandpaper to finish the piston to the correct diameter. After that everything works as expected. Unfortunately, the product has to lose a few stars because it doesn't work as described.
