Only fits one USB device
I was pleasantly surprised that the USB port has enough power to power my Seagate 4g USB 3.0 portable hard drive while charging my Macbook. I also bought a similar Trond device that doesn't power the same drive. Avoid Trond and use Ableconn instead! UPDATE: The device doesn't work with two devices connected, certainly not two portable drives, but even a USB card reader and a drive will result in both being ejected and reconnected constantly. Too bad I already have single port Apple adapters and was hoping to use two devices.
