After all the bad reviews I took a chance and bought one and I'm glad I did! This subwoofer is great, but I don't play my music too loud, I want the deep, rich bass that this subwoofer delivers. I ran it with a 1000 watt mono amp. Two important things to remember: 1) disconnect the subwoofer before turning it up to full volume, and 2) always connect a capacitor to the power input of the amplifier to create that powerful "bang". . (The more the merrier, you'll never have enough energy left!) I use it in my Camaro convertible and it puts out a lot of bass!
