Happy with my choice so far

Not bad at all for the price (best I've found with this feature set). A slightly annoying issue is the firmware they come with - the web interface is only visible from certain browsers. However, once you update the firmware, everything runs smoothly - and the GUI on this switch is FAST - possibly the fastest web interface on a switch I've seen. these as required. However, the range of functions goes a little further here; Not the Cisco 3750, mind you, but it would certainly be preferable to the Cisco SG300 if for no other reason it covers the role and makes it less of a pain, with the only downside being that you can't make changes directly in the CLI. One downside (I think?) found - CLI. You can actually root this switch - I mean it can be done with a single command line. This does not mean that it is a total loss. Splitting the VLAN means an attacker must first get into your management VLAN and find or figure out a way to bypass your credits. Let's face it - if they go that far, you're already in the red. And this can be useful in a way, as it allows you to make certain adjustments to the system that you might otherwise not be able to, such as: B. setting custom keys and/or certificates. One note about the switch config lines on this device - they are very close to IOS - that's a real shame, you can't easily change them in the CLI. However, you can pretty easily extract the configuration file, edit it, and restore the edited configuration to the switch I think. As far as I can tell, POE works pretty well - as long as the thing reads my desk phone and WAP correctly. 6.5W together; lots of energy left. Overall I'm happy with it so far. Usually one of these cheap smart switches is around $40-$60, add POE+ and add $20-$40. can enter your switch from any VLAN on the device as long as they configure themselves on the same subnet) - this one costs $100, making it the cheapest I've found that covers most of these shortcomings - and on top of that it plays really nice.
