Check for manufacturing defects

I bought two units but I am having trouble installing the internal node. I could not create a line piece as specified. I searched the internet and found many people with the same problem - in the engine assembly, the fastener is installed upside down! You can't install it and I haven't seen a way to toggle it. Very unhappy with it as I was excited to get what I thought was great new hardware to match my current front grip. Now I don't want to buy a Kwikset and spend money to change other grips to fit. So disappointed with this product. DISCLAIMER: While I'm not a professional plumber, I'm very skilled and will do almost all of the housework. This is not the case for an unskilled person who just didn't know how to put something together.
