UPDATE: I bought four of these knives - three pink and one silver. I kept two pairs. A pink pair was recently purchased and sent to my mom to sit by the sewing machine while she sews quilts. She loves these scissors! They are VERY sharp and durable - they are just nice to hold in your hand. ------------- Original Review --------- Initially I was looking for Ginghers scissors mainly for hand embroidery (and knitting). Then I saw them and fell in love with the design! I thought why not! I can always send them back if I don't like them. OK I know. These are tough scissors - and very sharp! I used them yesterday for securing jump stitches in machine embroidery which I have worked on and been very happy with. They were able to get into some really tiny gaps and cut small stitches. Well done. Heirloom quality. I bought a silver pair to sit at the sewing machine for sewing patchwork quilts and for machine embroidery. I recommend. :)
