Works like a charm! Bought this after our garage got broken into via the side door. In order to make it work, you do have to have the hasp in the closed position, and then close the door (and the ring) into it, rather than try to close the hasp after the door is closed- that's just how physics works. To make it easy, I just used some duct tape to keep the hasp in the right position. I like that when it is closed, all bolts are covered and inaccessible, makes it feel a little more secure.
