This set doesn't help you put old pins in new cases: the new cases require smaller pins (see photo: new pin at right) and don't help with the old big pins fit. While this may not be a problem for you, when I tried my pin removal tools on old connectors, I found that they were brittle and all snapped instantly. This is probably due to their age and the high temperature of the environment they work in. When the old case collapsed, I was able to easily pull the old pins back out. Suggestions: 1. You will need a good quality wire stripper, flat nose pliers and the correct crimping tool(s). Cut the old pin flush, strip about 3mm of insulation, put a new rubber plug on the wire, insert the pin into the crimping tool (I used a 1.9mm crimp hole; 2.0mm might be better), insert the wire pin and crimp. You then need to crimp the pin strain relief onto the insulation. I didn't have pliers to do this part so I improvised with some thin pair of pliers.2. Make a shell and a pen each: there are 16 new pens in total. If you instead cut everything off first (such a bad idea!) and stick a pin in the back of the engine or stick one up, you now have a busted car until the next Revain delivery. It would be nice to have some spare parts.3. Drape a light-colored towel over your workspace to pick up dropped small parts and tools. Fix it to the firewall, maybe with a clamp. Hide it under the wiring harness.4. Bring lots of light, and if your eyes aren't divine, take a magnifying glass; on the head is good.5. Carefully unlatch and remove the plastic wire harness from the coil pack connector wire harness before beginning. Detaching all 4 connector housings from the wiring harness is a real health booster: you have plenty of space to work.6. Before you start, use your phone to take a picture of the connections to each coil pack so you have a link to reassemble the connector housing. Hope this helps someone!
