Genuine HEPA Vacuum Cleaner Wet & Dry

update. 09.06.20. I still use this vacuum and it works great. I vacuumed up dirt, paint residue, sharp fingernails, everything EXCEPT water. I still refuse to use it as a wet vacuum because the multi-layer filtration bothers me with mold/fungus if they get wet they will be difficult to dry completely. The suction power is still good. The bags are easy to replace. And a disclaimer. I have yet to replace the HEPA filter. I just swapped out the big bags. The reason it costs more than your traditional wet/dry vacuum is because it contains heavy filter layers and also because it has to meet certain criteria with sealed chambers. Based on my purchases, this was also one of the lowest prices anywhere you can find a true HEPA vacuum. I bought this primarily to help me clean up restoration projects and general home repairs. You never know what bad stuff you might pick up and it's nice to know that I can now contain it all with this beast instead of scattering it through the air with my regular vacuum. The two tools I use the most are a pole with a mop head (it can be used as a canister vacuum) and a plastic lip attachment. I've found that when you're drilling a hole in a wall, you can just put the nozzle under the drill bit and vacuum up almost all of the dust generated while drilling. After that, you can use the rod head and finish cleaning. The suction power is strong and strong. The power level reminds me of the standard vacuum cleaners found near self-service car washes. The noise level is not that bad, but still very loud. These vacuum cleaners are also expensive to run because the filters are very expensive. To save money, you can replace the pre-filters before you actually have to replace the expensive HEPA filter. There are several levels of filter protection before you start damaging your HEPA filter. If you decide to use it as a wet vacuum (I don't know why you would buy a cheaper store-bought vacuum for that), it comes with an extra foam filter that you can use to avoid damaging the other fabric filters . I have one complaint, I don't like the quality of the yellow flexible hose. The front hose mount came off fairly easily, it doesn't look like it was glued or permanently attached. It was probably intentional, but it was something unexpected. Otherwise, it looks like you're getting a quality HEPA vacuum for the price. Also, Vacmaster accessories seem to be widely available and easy to buy.

Pros
  • 125cc feet per minute @ 2-1/2 inches. Hole.
Cons
